SOUTH BAY Home Health Care, LLC offers health care services such as skilled nursing, home health aides, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing is provided by a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and includes coordinating the plan of care your physician has prescribed, monitoring vital signs, giving injections, providing wound care, medication management, disease process management, diabetic care, CHF/Cardiac issues, respiratory issues and Alzheimer’s care among other things.

Physical Therapy
The goal of physical therapy is to help you regain movement and strength. Our physical therapists will visit you in your home to help you perform daily activities and progress towards your physical goals.
Services include gait and transfer training, exercises for strengthening, balance improvement, home safety assessments, and more.

Speech-Language Pathology
After a stroke or accident, speech therapy can help you recover your swallowing and communication skills. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) specializes in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing, cognition/thinking skills, and communication disorders to help you regain independence and improve your quality of life.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is designed to help you regain your independence by performing daily activities by yourself. You may learn new ways to eat, put on clothes or comb your hair. Occupational therapy is sometimes ordered by a doctor without other skilled care.

Medical Social Work
We know physical issues aren’t your only concern when recovering from or managing an illness. Medical Social Workers visit your home to help you with the social and emotional concerns that may accompany your health care issues.

Home Health Aide
Home health aides don’t have nursing licenses, but they support your nurse by providing assistance with bathing, dressing, and other personal care. Medicare and private insurance policies don’t usually cover home health aide services unless you are also receiving skilled nursing.
